Dick Chase was born in Lowell, MA and spent his early years in an
Irish-Scottish neighborhood. He graduated from Massachusetts College of Art in Boston. He has exhibited his paintings in Boston as well as nation-wide.
Although he had a career as an art teacher… music has always been his
passion. Sometime ago he started a music career with “Rye Straw”, a Bluegrass and contra dance band. Later on it was Texas swing with a 5 piece band called “Dixie Peach”. Several years later in a Blues band called “Chasin’ the Blues”.
Lately his focus has been on Irish music with his group “The Millboys”, Playing in Irish Pubs and restaurants in Central Massachusetts.
On one of his many road trips to Ireland, Dick combined his music and art to paint a 1400 sq. ft. mural in county Claire featuring local musicians.
Chase has a large repertoire of Irish music…songs and lively instrumentals; he brings 5 instruments to each gig, Banjo, Guitar, Mandolin, Boozouki, Dobro.
The current project “Sligo” combine the Gaelic spirit with the modern guitar talents of Derick Cummings…believe me, sparks will fly!

Rick Ottman - Is an outstanding harmony singer. He teaches singing and performance as his “day job”, along with piano and guitar and bass.
We can play in any key, any style and his magic is that he’s right on to you in “no time at all!”
Bob Wellspring - was a brilliant percussionist, featuring Bodrhan, the traditional Irish drum, snare drum, spoons, congas … you name it he plays it! In the last several years he has “booted” us up to the rapid tempos required in traditional Irish music.
He makes all of us sharpen our skills just to keep up!
